Exhibition by interdisciplinary artist Joe Zee.Growing up in the vibrant culture and diverse community of 1970s Birmingham influenced his artistic expression. His experiences are reflected in his paintings, which draw heavily from cherished memories and the objects he collected during that time.
The exhibition features a selection of artwork from Joe created in response to his collection. The objects provide memory prompts for specific moments, like listening to a song on the record player or playing in the street on roller skates. Utilising vibrant colours and mixed media transforming his memories into visual narratives.
