Have you ever wanted to write poetry in the style of the famous poets? Well now's your chance to try. Join Rick Sanders from Verve for a 4-part Winter series of workshops looking specifically at the poetry, style, context and technique of four poets from history. Each month Rick will lead you through a deep-dive into the poet, their writing style, and the key attributes of their lives that has shaped their work. You will get to learn about the poet, read some examples of their work and write a poem or two in the style of that poet. In January, we will be looking at Alfred Lord Tennyson - why not start with the big guns! This workshop series is for experienced poets, or poets with a good understanding of writing poetry who want to develop specific skills in writing poetry.
