This March, The Lemon Tree’s Head Chef, Luke Fishpool, was invited by one of the restaurant’s wine suppliers to visit Sicily; a whirlwind trip that may have only lasted two days but was filled to the brim with delicious tastings and meals.

From antipasti of fried baby artichokes and red mullet brochettes to spaghetti with sea urchins; fish soup with homemade cous cous to fresh ricotta cakes; Sicily was a feast of delights, with Luke meeting a variety of chefs and local food enthusiasts who are dedicated to preserving traditional cooking methods and recipes that could otherwise be lost.

In the spirit of such a trip, The Lemon Tree is celebrating all things Sicilian; from Monday 14th May until Saturday 26th May, diners can enjoy the Bishop’s Stortford restaurant’s Sicilian Set Menu, which is priced at just £15 for three courses.

Luke has created a mouth-watering menu inspired by his culinary experiences in Sicily – and has, of course, put his own, unique slant on the dishes!

The Lemon Tree will also be recommending local Sicilian wines to complement the menu.

Please visit The Lemon Tree’s thebestof Bishop’s Stortford feature for more information about the restaurant and contact details. We thoroughly recommend that you book as it’s a popular destination seven days a week!
