Halloween is literally around the corner, so if you haven’t yet decided what you’re doing to celebrate the spookiest night of the year, what have you been doing!?
Luckily, thebestof Bishop’s Stortford is on hand to offer some last minute advice on what you and the family could get up to this Halloween.
Halloween Haunting Tours
Taking place from now until Monday 31st October 2011, Halloween Haunting Tours is your opportunity to take a tour of Mountfitchet Castle, which has been transformed into a scary, spooky Halloween experience for the over 14’s... do you dare to step inside?
Tickets cost £18.50.
Halloween Specials
Alternatively, how about riding the ghost train through the haunted woods if you’re feeling brave enough! Audley End Miniature Railway’s Halloween Specials are on until October 31st, with trains running every half hour from 4pm until 6:30pm.
Advance bookings only; tickets cost £5 and under 2’s ride the Halloween Special for free.
Children's Halloween Party
Let’s face it – trick or treating isn’t often fun for the parents – hours of walking around in the cold and worrying about the reaction the children will get when knocking on strangers’ doors. Starting at 1pm on October 30th October 2011, The Children's Halloween Party at The Juice Project in Dunmow is a fantastic alternative – organised by the NCT, the kids can still have fun and dress up and there will be plenty of music and games.
The Party is ideal for children up to the age of 5, but numbers are limited to book in advance by calling Mel Sims on 07796 135 165.
Don't forget, you can add your own Halloween events to the site for free, so let us know what's happening ASAP!
