They’re getting married in the morning! Yes the big day is just one sleep away as we all prepare for, not only the wedding of the Century, but for some of us another glorious day off work. A day to celebrate our traditions, heritage and ‘Britishness’ with a right Royal ‘do’.
So what’s happening in our region to celebrate the nuptials on Friday? Here’s a small selection of events to get you in the party mood.
Royal start to Bishop’s Stortford Music Festival
Stortford Music Festival have announced details of a special opening night party for this year’s event, taking place on Friday April 29. The King of rock ‘n’ roll, Elvis Presley in the form of local Elvis impersonator Wesley Presley will open the evening, which opens at 8pm at the festival site on St. Mary’s School field. Down Hall Country House Hotel, nr Bishops Stortford
Come and enjoy a delicious gourmet picnic in the beautiful grounds of Down Hall Country House Hotel! There will be garden games including giant chess, croquet, giant connect 4 and giant jenga! There will also be full coverage of the Royal Wedding in the public areas of the hotel. £21.50 per person.
