The club operates throughout the year on Sunday mornings (all abilities) and on Saturdays and weekday evenings for more serious training. The club house is about one mile south of Bishop's Stortford (Styleman's Lane, off Hallingbury Road - map) with parking. It has canoe storage, gym area with paddle machines, changing rooms, toilets and hot showers.\rBSCC is mainly a racing club, with members competing at all levels in marathon and sprint racing. Although we focus on placid water kayaking and Canadian canoeing, there are occasionally opportunities take part in other branches of paddlesport.\r\rWe are a friendly club, where new members are always made welcome. Our membership includes an equal balance of adults and juniors. The club is run entirely by the voluntary effort of its members, and there are many opportunities for non-paddling parents of junior members to become involved.
