After 3 months and 30 hours worth of lessons later, today was the day that I passed my driving test first time, all thanks to Mr Lee Hill and Hillstart Driver Training! He's a one-of-a-kind gentleman who is a true professional, at the top of his game and your best mate all at the same time! If you dream about finding the perfect driving instructor then this gentleman can make your dreams a reality! I'm honoured and privileged to be able to say that I was trained by Lee and would be more than happy to recommend him and his company to anyone and everyone who is learning to drive. Not only is he the best in Blackpool, but the best of the best in the country! Yes, he really is that good. So don't waste time looking for other instructors because there really is no point. Lee Hill is defiantly the man for you!

The first thing i will mention about Peter from Hillstart is that he became the most patient person i have ever met. From my first lesson, where i didn't know anything about cars and driving to the last lesson where i knew excatly what i was doing and did it correctly all of the time which made me pass my driving test first time!! I would recommend Peter to anyone because he taught me so much in so little time building me to a safe and competant driver. Peter doesn't just teach you for the test, but also for after the test when you are fully independant. I found Peter also comfortable to drive with as he is fully understanding and knows how difficult sometimes driving can be and he also has a great sense of humour.

I passed my test 32 yers ago but I have never been confident enough to drive on the motorway. Lee spent 2 hours patiently talking me through everything. I learnt how to confidently join motorways, know where the blind spots to other drivers are, manouver,getting into the right lane, anticipate what other drivers would do and many more things. Lee gave me the confidence to drive to Leeds the next day without panicking.

I passed my test a couple of weeks ago first time with only 1 fault. I learnt with peter. He is such a friendly and calm driving instructor i would reccomend him with anyone. I also had my mock test with Lee who is as friendly and calm, together they make a great partnership and will be successful for a long time. I owe everything to them for getting me through my test, highly reccomended i wouldn't go anywhere else.

my daughter had had 2 other driving instructors before a friend recommended Lee, The 1st instructor cancelled lessons nearly every week on her and was not value for money, the 2nd instructor was a new instructor having just passed his instructors test and he was too keen to get some passes under his belt he put her in for her test far too soon and she failed, knocking her confidence, she decided it was her who couldn't drive and decided to have a break. Lee was highly recommended to me and iencouraged my daughter to give it another go, Lee has boosted her confidance and showed danielle great encouragement the result a PASS with No minors on her perfect driving test. If only we had known about you first Lee, a big thank you, you deserve each of your student to pass.

Thanks to Lee i passed my driving test with absolutely no minors, he is the such an amazing driving instructor and i couldn't recommened him enough. Peter also took me on a mock test and was very helpful, they are both lovely, friendly people and outstanding instructors. Hillstart driving school is definatley the one to go with and i can't thank Lee enough, i owe all my driving sucess to him :)

It was an emotional journey for me since the day one of my driving lesson till passing the practial test with Lee as my instructor. I am proud legal license holder with millions and billions of smiles which i could gift to my wife through this marvelous achievement. Undoubtedly my sucess credit goes to Lee & would like to thank him a ton. One must get training under Lee a true professional for passing his test in first attempt.

I was tought to drive by PETER and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him.Peter is a genuinely friendly, patient & supportive teacher with a consistently calm & positive manner.It is obvious when learning with Peter that he is passionately dedicated to teaching his students & always to a high standard.He was always punctual and never cancelled a lesson.With his support and encouragement Peter helped me gain & re-build my confidence after a previous instructer who had an abrupt and abusive manner left me feeling useless.Peter gave me help while studying for my theory test and answered my many questions each lesson.He provided me with written notes and drawings which were a wonderful aid.Peter had an easy method for everything.I passed my test and feel I'm a good,confident driver. The confidence and independence I have gained is fantastic & I owe a HUGE THANK YOU to PETER.When my children are ready to start driving I will definately be contacting HILLSTART-there is NO NEED TO LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE! :D

Having put in the time to learn to drive with Hill Start Driver Training, I passed my driving test today with only 2 minor faults!!!!! The low amount of driving faults I incurred is certainly testament to the time I put in and the high quality tuition I received from Lee Hill. Ok, I put in around 60 hours of time - which sounds like a lot - but for someone with NO private practice, that is around the DSA average. And putting in that time not only teaches you to pass your driving test, it teaches you to be a good driver. As for my experience of learning to drive with Lee, it has been fantastic: conducted in exactly the way you want as a learner, but to the level of detail that you need for life. It's just a shame that there aren't really any driving schools as good as Hill Start in Blackpool and the Fylde Coast, as it's tuition that in my opinion, everyone should be able to receive. Hill Start is definitely the best in the area - an absolute must for safe driving for life.

Lee is a very good driving instructor he has taught me many techniques that are not only useful in passing my test but also out on the road after I pass. As I am approaching my test i feel more confident towards passing first time and the feedback I receive helps me understand what I have done wrong and what I am doing right. Furthermore the car is very well maintained with next to no problems and is easy to get the grips of. Lees teaching is very good quality and I would recommend him to other people thinking of learning to drive.

I learnt to drive with Hillstart Driver Training and passed first time! I felt like the training was personalised to suit my learning style and the guidance I receieved was fantastic. There is no reason to book your driving lessons with anyone else!

well what can i say! i passed my test first time with using Hill Start, well Lee! when i first started with Hill Start i knew the concept of driving but never really had done it before, but Lee soon sorted that out; from the first till the last lesson i had, i learned so much from a reliable, knowledgable and outgoing instructor and talking to my friends who have had drivin lessons before thier instructores dont even come under the same catergory as Lee does! his method of teaching is so simple and guides you to pass first time! i would highly recommend lee to anyone who wants to learn to drive or even to build on thier current knowledge of drivin! i would give Lee 10/10, definatley over the moon with passing first time and that it really down to how the lessons were put forward to me!

My daughter did Pass Plus with Lee and is now a confident and safe driver on the motorway. I was impressed with her knowledge of road procedure and how much Lee had taught her during the day. She told me it was an interesting day out and has since been recommending it to her friends.

Before i started driving with Lee i'd had over 18 months worth of lessons and drove like i'd had ten. My other instructers had either been impatient or incompetant and unrealible and after two failed tests i was sure i was destined to be a pedestrian! I dreading driving and really wanted to quit but Lee really improved my confidence and explained things to me so that i understood not just how to do something but why; and now i'm actually a good driver! I highly recommend Lee to anyone who's learning to drive, he's extremly pacient and teaches subjectivley so that all students can benefit - and he's a genuinely nice person who makes people feel at ease, and now i actually love driving! I wouldn't reccommened anyone else and I know i'll pass with Hillstart :-)

My daughter learnt to drive with Lee and passed her test first time. He was professional and patient and perhaps most importantly for me, charged a reasonable price. My daughter enjoyed her driving lessons and I was impressed with how quickly her skills and confidence developed. She even began to criticise my driving, showing that she was taking on board all of Lee's valuable advice! Lee was always on time at the arranged meeting point and gave plenty of notice if he ever needed to rearrange a lesson. I would definitely recommend him to anybody thinking of learning to drive.

when i first starting driving i knew nothing at all and was a little nervous. But with the help from Lee my confidence grew being a learner on the road. He takes a very passionate and professional approach to driving and has great techniques to help you. Lee will not be degrading and will always help you on anything that you are worried about and need extra assistance on. Lee will also help with practising for the theory test which i found really useful. I would most definitely recommend Lee as a driving instructor!!

Lee at Hillstart taught me to drive on motorways after I passed my test earlier on in life. I knew him through a friend and he wasn't even an instructor at the time! Lee really did give me the confidence to drive distances on motorways and the insight I needed about other drivers and the potential hazards I could encounter. Since then I have been back to Lee for the odd refresher motorway lesson and his advice and tuition is as consistent as ever! I am really pleased that Lee has put his skills to great use and now shares his passion and belief for safe driving by choosing driving instruction as his chosen profession! I would recommend anyone taking lessons to use Hillstart for their professional approach, and in particular look to enhancing their driving skills beyond their driving test as it really has benefited me immensely!

When I thought about starting to drive it was quite a big step as I felt quite nervous and it was something completely new to me, due to not having any knowledge about cars what so ever. I now feel a lot more confident about stepping in to the car and getting behind the wheel, Lee isn't patronising or degrading he is just honest and always willing to go through anything with you that you feel unsure about. I have learnt so much since I started learning to drive in May, from the rules of the road, tips and advice on how to tackle challenges on the road, safety whilst driving for myself and other road users. Lee is a very thorough instructor and straight to the point about things which is credit to him! I would highly recommend Lee and the business to anybody who is looking for a true driving instructor! Find lessons with Lee very enjoyable and relaxed! Also the Ford Fiesta is a very smart car and very clean and neat. Lee is a very passionate driving instructor which helps of course! :)

After having two previous instructors Lee was the best. I passed first time. I could not have done it without Lee. He talked calmley made you feel relaxed through out your lesson he explained and drew diagrams to help you understand better. we did mock tests and he helped with the theory. I very strongly would recommend lee to anyone.

I passed today first time with Lee with only 3 minors! I would recommend Lee as he takes a friendly approach to teaching you to drive which puts you at ease behind the wheel, even if you're a nervous driver. He is very encouraging and it was an enjoyable experience learning to drive with him.

Peter was a brilliant teacher and I passed my test first time!
Very thorough and knows what he's talking about so nothing comes as a surprise in the test.
Peter makes sure he teaches you not only for the test but give you many tips for safe and comfortable driving when you have passed.
Would definitely recommend Peter to anyone who wants to make sure they drive well for the test and also afterward!

Lee is a true professional, he inspires confidence in your own abilities, he is patient and understanding.
