POULTON will be transformed with a sprinkle of festive magic when its annual Christmas festival rolls into town.
Organisers of the Redrow-sponsored Poulton Christmas Festival 2018 are promising a spectacle to remember on Friday, December 7, with a selection of children’s rides and stalls in the town centre selling gifts and an array of hot and cold refreshments.
Festivities will run between 10am and 7pm, with the lighting of a specially-arranged nativity crib at 4pm followed by the switch-on of Christmas tree lights.
Meanwhile, Santa will be arriving at 5.15pm, with attendees welcome to join him on stage for a singalong.
Roger Critchley, Chair of Poulton Partnership, said: “Friday, December 7 is a date for the diary – a special festive occasion to remember for all the family and we can’t wait to bring all the community together.
“We would like to thank our sponsors, including Redrow, Chris Allen Ford & Mazda dealership and The Blackpool Sixth Form College, for helping support our much-anticipated festival.”
Community togetherness will be a key theme of Poulton Christmas Festival 2018, with a specially set-up stage to also be the venue for pupils from local primary and secondary schools to perform songs throughout the day.
Commenting on their decision to sponsor the annual event, Lesley Myers, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) said: “We’re proud of our connection to Poulton, which is home to our Pavilion and Oldfield Park developments, and honoured to be sponsoring the town’s Christmas festival. It promises to be an event not to be missed and fits perfectly with one of Redrow’s key themes which is to create thriving communities.”
