Firstly, the staff were all lovely, very helpful and attentive 10/10
The main areas are modern, clean and tastefully decorated
Food - evening meal excellent, couldn’t fault it, although I thought the wine quite pricey.
Breakfast, hot buffet - ok, nice porridge and lots of tasty options if you didn’t fancy a full English
The room - o dear. It was ok but needed a really good clean, dusty and in my opinion a bottle of bleach and a scrub was needed in the bathroom. The curtains were ROTTEN dirty and full of dust. Windows only opened a fraction and in this current soaring heat no aircon made sleep impossible. Fan in the room available but not a good alternative, windows in my friends 2 rooms didn’t open at all
Maybe we were just unlucky but the rooms we had were on the whole really grotty
The cups in my room were stained, as was the kettle tray - it was the attention to detail regarding cleanliness that let it down for me and boy o boy do those curtains need a good wash.
Overall, disappointing but I guess if you need somewhere to get your head down in Bolton it would be ok

Recently stayed here with my wife for a family birthday. We stayed in a lovely spacious suite with a fantastic view of the football pitch. The room had more space than you could ever need and massive bathroom. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in which helped two difficult sleepers. Use of the facilities the following morning, the gym is great, everything you can need and not crowded which was nice.

All in all a great short stay and we’ll come again for sure!

Staff extremely friendly, Lovey quaint pool, Bar man was extremely friendly, makes a great latte with table service. Room spacious, and clean however no air con, instead they provided a cheap Argos white fan,,, not what I would have expected at this type of hotel... bad planning. Also fire alarm went of in the morning, but not the hotels fault that some guests still think its ok to smoke in their room!

I enjoyed another nice stay at the Bolton Whites for a business trip. Room was clean with a comfy bed. I did have a problem with the kettle in the room, however it was replaced within a couple of minutes of contacting the reception. Staff were all helpful and breakfast was of a high standard.

Stayed here with 4 mates for Parklife. We were surprised to find we weren't the only ones who had this genius idea. It's far cheaper than staying in Manchester, its a 15/20 minute drive away from Heaton park and Ubers worked out around £30 each way.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but the staff were brilliant - they let us get ready in the leisure centre and store our bags with the concierge. We got back around 11.30pm, slightly mangled and checked in with no problem,

Rooms were really good for the price. Really comfy bed and a powerful shower.

Staff at the bar the next day were brilliant. We didn't eat so can't comment on the food.

Really easy to get to - straight off the motorway - and they're within walking distance of a retail park which has loads of shops and restaurants you can eat at.

5/5 would definitely stay again!

P.S unlike the guys in the review before us...Parklife was epic!

If you’re looking for class and elegance look no further, this 7 star hotel will match all your needs from a free pool too a bar which was that good value for money it almost felt free.. From the main man in Bolton Jonny too the beautiful Tamsin the staff are on hand too bend over backwards too fit all your desires. If you’re a calm, relaxed pioneer of the country and free world like ourselves then you will certainly fit into this hotel and will never look back. Parklife 2018 was a disaster but this hotel certainly made up for it. - Danny and Tom

We had a fantastic stay in this hotel, food and staff were excellent. We had a lovely but I know they have larger rooms some even have a view over the Bolton football pitch which the hotel is attached to.
It is located next to a large shopping complex which was handy for any last minute shopping.
We will certainly visit again.

Paid £69 for a double. Upgraded for £10 on arrival to a room with pitch view. Slight issue with a broken door handle but we were moved to another room within ten mins. Paid £20 for 2 breakfast.

Due to check out at 11am but requested a late check when going for breakfast and no issue with us having the room until 2pm.

Overall a good stay. Would visit again.

Fab hotel, pictures on booking.com don’t do this place justice at all. Great pool steam sauna area. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice and very nice. Especially Diane such a lovely lady. Only downside which I thought I’d mention is when we stayed it was very warm outside and the room we had on the first floor was really warm. Other than that we will stay here again if in the area.
Well done to all at the hotel. Xx

We have stayed on a match day before now and we are local to Bolton and this stay was because our home was being decorated. The main reason we personally wouldn't book again is The seating area in the standard twin we had doesn't really cater for the larger person or indeed 2 people. Check out Blackpool FC standard twins.(we have stayed here many times) 2 x comfier seats. A twin is clearly going to be occupied by 2 people. Bolton whites hotel is not alone in this but why does one guest get a stool or chair. This always baffles me but like I say, you are by no means alone in this. The rooms are a little dated but cleanliness cant be faulted. Towel rail looked worse for wear. Showers need upgrading in my opinion but not major problem for us for 2 nights. Also, no plugs by the bed meant we had to go and get an extension as we needed to plug in a sleep apnoea machine. Nothing majorly concerned us though and overall for the price paid on a Saturday and Sunday night we were Satisfied in the main. The other thing I would say and I believe an area where maybe the hotel could be losing money is the pricing of food and beverages. We would definitely have had more food and drinks if they reflected Bolton more. £28 for a mixed grill is madness. Im sure people with more money to spend may pay this but your average Joe wont. There are many more preferable options around the middlebrook. Lucianos is just up the steps behind the stadium and they do a lasagne for £8.55. against your £14.00. We did eat an omelette that seamed the best value on your menu and it was OK. If the price points had been a little more reflective of Bolton we would have spent a lot more and eaten all our meals in the hotel as we always do at Blackpool FC (rowleys). We are used to paying slightly more but feel maybe another option for more affordable food should be looked at. In no way do my comments represent a complaint. It is what it is and in the main your hotel served our purpose satisfactorily.

Great location for our needs at that moment in time as my wife and I( who now live in the south of England) were visiting family living in Bolton Staff, as one would expect from Bolton, were some of the friendliest people you could wish to meet. We only had breakfast at the hotel but were very satisfied with the quality. Our stay was slightly let down by the fact that the air condition was out of action on what was a very hot 3 days in May and the patio windows to the actual pitch area were locked for security reasons. The staff did open the doors for me but with the strict request that we did not venture out onto the open balcony whish gives access to the pitch area. This was understood and not a problem. There was an electric fan in the room but this seemed to have a mind of its own and would either go at supersonic speed or decide to take time out. Overall, we were more than happy with our stay at the Hotel and would certainly consider returning at a future date.

We recently held a family reunion at the hotel. There were over 100 people attending with many staying over the weekend. Lots of pre-planning with the sales team who were always happy to meet with me. The event on the night ran like clockwork, good food and excellent staff. A particular mention for the event manager Mark who couldn’t do enough for us. There were a couple of little hiccups over the weekend which is the only reason I’ve knocked a star off. However these were followed up. It’s refreshing to find a hotel who welcomed all feedback in an effort to improve and I would definitely use the hotel again and recommend holding an event there.

Great Hotel, Efficient, Friendly Colleagues, Great Food. Plenty of Parking.

Why should a review be a minimum of 200 words, perhaps you would get more reviews if people could just say How Good You Are.
