1st time international traveler from the US and there were a lot of issues with our original flight that caused our group to be split up. We lost 2 days of our tour of England BUT as soon as we arrived at the hotel, the last at the front desk welcomed us and helped me so much to feel welcomed and provided assistance with finding a place to buy clothes (my baggage is lost) and even taxi service. So thank you so much for the genuine hospitality. Dinner and breakfast were both fantastic. Blessings to you all.

My now wife and i got married at the Bolton Mercure Georgian House Hotel. I cannot praise Rochelle, Jimmy and the team highly enough. They went over and beyond to make our special day memorable. Rochelle is an amazing wedding planner and right from the very outset made us feel so welcome and at ease. Jimmy was also amazing on the day making his presence felt but with being on hand in the background. We could not have chosen a better location and take many special memories away with us. Rochelle, Jimmy and your team are an absolute credit to your organisation. Thank you so much.

A tired hotel needing investment. Bedroom had peeling wallpaper on ceilings and walls. Dirty extractor fan in bathroom, missing tap covers. Looks like everything is from 1980s, it just looks worn-out. Most overpriced evening meal i have seen, all microwave specials. Only eaten here once in 2 weeks. Cooked breakfast is always cold no matter when you attend and served on cold plates (a pet hate). You have to share hp sauce bottles and mustard pots as only 2 available. 2 days running no coffee at breakfast as machine broken. Staff generally friendly and approachable.

Hotel decor is tired but everything was clean. Room spacious and chips in sink didn't stop it from being usable. Breakfast was plentiful but some of the cooked items were dry.

We checked into this hotel today, very weary after our long journey, a lady in the bar called Irene greeted us with a friendly welcoming smile , she served us some tea and was extremely helpful, so nice to have a friendly efficient greeting.

We attended a wedding at the Mercure and we helped in setting up the room, Jimmy and his team were fantastic and we couldn’t fault their level of attention to detail superb. Also deserving of a special mention is Nadine who was also brilliant.
Breakfast was lovely and all the food at the wedding was also very good and plentiful.
Only thing I would say are that the rooms although comfy are quite dated and the hotel itself could do with a renovation.

Rooms are a little dated. Some bathroom accessories coming away from the walls. Moved the beds to makevsafe for the baby and they've not been vacuumed for a while behind. Lovely firm mattresses and fab addition of a nespresso.
