Adboards, based in Union Road Bolton have recently expanded their range of products by including a range of boards specifically designed for dyslexic and dispraxic children.
These boards are specially coloured, A4 sized MDF boards which are 5mm thick and covered with coloured paper and a protective polyester resin.
Dyslexia and dyspraxia is now much more understood that previously and while the old fashioned blackboards have been replaced in most schools with new modern whiteboard alternatives, the white backgrounds can cause problems for those children who struggle with these conditions.
Adboards is a family run business and is part of a group of firms which include Homespares Centres, Millfield Estates and Harewood Products.
Adboards Director Paul Howe was really pleased earlier this year when they won a three year tender with the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation which means all of their educational products will feature in the YPO’s magazines going out to schools and other educational establishments.
The colourwipe boards which along with all their other products are manufactured in Bolton and can be used for almost any subject. The boards come is a wide range of pastel colours and it is known that Blue is great for Dyslexia while green is often better for Dyspraxia.
