A conference will be held in Bolton on March 29th at the Victoria Halls, Knowlsley Street to promote an anti-bullying campaign.
The 'Im Not Laughing' campaign was launched last year by Bolton Central Neighbourhood Policing Team and could also be rolled out to other areas.
The campaign was started by SGT Paul Ellis after he received a letter from a girl who suffers from a condition that restricts her growth and she was ridiculed on a night out./ He then worked to create the campaign to educate bar staff about moral and legal responsibilities and as a result they trained dozens of the town centre pubs, clubs and bars which now show accreditation window stickers at their venues.
The conference will run from 11am-3pm and delegates will be coming from other towns and cities to find out more about the initiative.
