The good deeds of more than 30 volunteers were celebrated during a special volunteers’ lunch at Bolton College.
The event was held to thank the volunteers for their continuing hard work and altruistic efforts over the past academic term.
Volunteers assist with many roles within the Deane Road Campus, including classroom support, administration roles and maintenance. Particular congratulations were in order for Alan Woodward, who has completed more than ten years’ service helping in maths classes.
Janet Prescott, head of learner support at Bolton College, said: “We really appreciate the work that the volunteers undertake – they positively enhance the student experience and life at the College.
“This lunch was a way to thank all the volunteers for their fantastic efforts and highlight the great work that takes place each and every day – they really are unsung heroes!”
