They have arranged a Glitz and Glam Lunch at the Lion of Vienna Suite in the Bolton Stadium Hotel on Friday, February 10 which is already proving a hot ticket.
PR guru Lisa Forshaw, Sushma Solanki from Sushma’s Snacks and Faz Patel from thebestofbolton and thebestofbury business support organisations have organised the event because, as Lisa explained “Fortalice is vitally important to the town.”
She stated: “The staff there do an amazing job 365 days of the year and offer a temporary home and hope to bruised women and traumatised children whose home lives have often been hell.”
The event is also in memory of Gay Wharton – the former Bolton Mayoress and staunch supporter of Fortalice who was killed in a road accident in November, 2020.
“We all knew Gay,” added Lisa, “and she was a very special person who loved to help people in her town and in particular Fortalice.
“The three of us are also very involved in the life of Bolton and we wanted to do something for Fortalice for Gay. So, with the help of Sushma’s amazing food, we have put together this event – and the early signs are it will be a real success!”
As well as lunch, there is entertainment from Emma Lori Williams and Emma Schofield Monks and the event is hosted by Lady Jennifer Anne and John Norcott.
