Bolton Hospice has launched a new website this week in a bid to increase the information available about its services online and engage more with local supporters.
The site, which has been re-designed by Bolton based Higson Media, can be found at www.boltonhospice.org.uk and now features more information on the services the Hospice provides for local people with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers and more information about the different ways to get involved in fundraising, including what is happening in the local community.
Alice Edmond, Fundraising Manager for Bolton Hospice, said: 'We are currently undertaking a number of projects to raise awareness of the services we have to offer and to challenge some of the misconceptions about hospice care and the new website is one of the ways we are hoping to do this.
'It is hugely important to us that information about the services we offer and our fundraising activities is up to date, relevant and easily accessible online and that anyone - whether a patient, carer, healthcare professional, supporter or member of the general public - can find the information they need about Bolton Hospice online quickly and easily.'
There are other improvements in the site such as improved navigation, integration with the Hospice's social networking sites and the facility to share photos and videos, both of the Hospice itself and fundraising events, which will be added soon.
Alice added: 'We are always interested to hear feedback from local people so please do get in touch with us to tell us what you think of the new site.'
