The annual Beer Festival in aid of the Bolton Lads & Girls Club always guarantees a great weekend. And this year, it was no exception. Once again breaking records and getting people a little bit tipsy, the festival drew in the masses and raised a lot of money for an excellent cause.
The Club is still finalising the exact amount raised, but early indications suggest that figure stands around the £40,000 mark, a staggering result. This amazing sum of money will be reinvested in to the Club’s core offering, a seven nights-a-week youth club service giving young people somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk too.
Some of the money raised will also be invested in providing positive sporting activities for young people to channel their spare time into, in particular, an exciting new cycling programme at the Velodrome in Manchester.
The Club constantly strives to provide high quality events and would very much welcome any feedback on how they can improve this event even further next year. If you have something to suggest, or just want to forward your well wishes and congratulations on an excellent event, the Club's details are just below.
Also, if you missed out this year, next year’s Festival will run from Wednesday 9th – Saturday 12th October at Bolton Rugby Club, so mark the date in your diary. If you would like to sponsor a barrel, glasses, or a gold package for 2013, but would like to purchase it for this year’s price, then please let the Club know by Friday 30th November.
This is a great offer, so don't hesitate. There really is very little to think about.
Oh, and I am fully aware that my pun in the title doesn't really fit a beer image, but I've been away for a while and am just regaining the wit and charm you've come to love. So give it a chance.
I think. I type. I publish.
