Between the 6th and 12th October the charity are holding a host of events to raise awareness for World Sight Day and raise vital funds as well.
The biggest event is their mile for a member campaign. BSBP have 488 members so they’ll be static cycling 488 miles between October 6th and October 12th. You can see BSBP completing the challenge at various public places across Bolton.
Monday-Specsavers-Town Hall
Tuesday- The Market Hall
Wednesday DW Gym-Burnden Park
Thursday- Town Hall Square
Friday-Barclays Bank- Town Centre
On World Sight Day itself, BSBP are holding a charity bag pack at Sainsbury’s, Trinity Street, Bolton. They need volunteers to cover 4 shifts, 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm and finally 6pm-9pm. Volunteers are welcome to help for shorter amounts of time too.
If you think you can help, however big or small, please call Bolton Society for Blind People on 01204 337896 or email glen.sheader@bsbp.org.uk
