Karen Wilcock is the owner of Bolton Therapy Centre, a physiotherapy centre in Bolton. Karen has been treating patients since 1981 and the team have been operating out of their current premises since 1995.
Bolton Therapy Centre offers a range of therapies, techniques and treatments to its clients for prevention and treatment of a variety of conditions.
At the the end of last year, Karen Wilcock, Principal at Bolton Therapy Centre, received a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy for completing a clinical trial at the practice studying low back pain.
The clinical trial compared manual manipulation methods of treatment to a ‘bionic hand’, a compressed air driven handset known as Theraflex, which they use very successfully to treat back and neck pain.
Until this trial there was no published evidence for this new technique, and the trial results came out favourably for the Theraflex.
There are only about 50 machines in the UK and no other practice locally is using this technique.
Bolton Therapy Centre come very highly recommended by its clients for their innovative and forward thinking practice.
Bolton Therapy Centre currently have a special offer exclusive to thebestof bolton members where you can have a 15 minute back MOT free of charge.
