Conservative leader David Cameron will visit Bolton today in advance of the general election on the 6th May.
The Conservatives, who are hoping to secure the key Bolton West seat currently held by Labour's Ruth Kelly, will be encouraging Bolton residents to 'go blue' this summer. The voting also coincides with the Bolton Council elections taking place on the same day, where residents can vote for who runs their town and local services.
Bolton Council is urging local people who are not yet registered to vote to register now.
The deadline to register to vote is 5pm on Tuesday 20th April.
Applications must be made with the Elections Office, Room 233, Town Hall, Victoria Square, Bolton, BL1 1RU or placed in the 'Applications Box' at the One Stop Shop Reception.
Further information on how to register to vote can be found at the Bolton Council website.
