A lot of events will be taking place at The Olympus Fish and Chip Restaurant over the next few days and the Jubilee Weekend.
Over 50 people from the charity Jigsaw had lunch at the restaurant on Monday May 28th. Meanwhile on Tuesday May 29th The Olympus will play host to The Best of Bolton Networking Group who will enjoy a Fish and Chip meal before the event.
The Olympic Torch is coming to Bolton on Thursday May 31st and The Olympus will be welcoming two coach parties.
In addition Rachel Kershaw will visit the restaurant to sample what'ÂÂs on offer. Rachel recently won a competition organised by VisitEngland, the country'ÂÂs national tourist board. Her prize included an all-expenses paid 70-day trip around the country in a camper van following the Olympic torch. During this time she will create updates for Facebook, Twitter and blog posts. She will also take photos and video footage of her amazing trip. The Olympus is delighted that Visit England chose the restaurant to welcome Rachel to Bolton.
On Friday June 1st pianist Alan Bevis will be doing his popular regular slot on the keys of The Olympus Mini Grand Piano from 4pm to 7pm.
Saturday June 2nd sees the start of the Jubilee Weekend. The Olympus will be decorated inside and out and at lunchtime entertainment will be provided by 'ÂÂThe Entertainers'ÂÂ a local choral group. They will be performing traditional British songs for approximately one and a half hours. The group will also be singing again at lunchtime on Monday June 4th. Pianist Alan Bevis will also play from 4pm to 6.30pm on Saturday.
