Events for Remembrance Day in Bolton 2014

Halloween and Bonfire Night are behind us and our thoughts are now turning towards Remembrance Day and Armistice Day. We know a lot of people will be paying their respects in their own way but there’s so many events taking place in Bolton to commemorate Remembrance and Armistice Day.

First of all, Bolton’s Civic Remembrance Service and Parade is taking place on Sunday 9th November, the proceedings start at approximately 10:45am and it will be followed by a two minute silence at 11am. Full details here

The annual Westhoughton Remembrance Day Parade will also be taking place on Sunday 9th November. It will start at 9:20am at St Bartholomew’s C.E Primary School and you can find all the details here

In the evening, a lovely Concert of Remembrance is being held at The Albert Halls which is being hosted by the Mayor. There will be musical entertainment, readings and so much more. Tickets are £7.50 per person and all details are here

On Tuesday 11th November, the council will also be holding a two minute silence to commemorate Armistice Day. It’ll take place at 11am and you can find out all the information here here
