This year Bolton Lads and Girls Club are again taking a group of intrepid explorers to summit the highest Mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. Standing just under 20,000ft its no walk in the park and a real challenge for those wanting to do something that takes them right out of their comfort zone.
The club has a number of places still available, and there are a number of ways you / your business could join in and support them :
1.Sign up yourself, and commit to raising a minimum of £3k for the Club
2.Sign up with a group of mates / colleagues, committing to raise £3k each for the Club
3.Enable a member of your workforce to represent your business, they sign up and your workforce commit to raising £3k with / for them
4.Enable a small group from you workforce to represent your business, they sign up as a group and your workforce commit to raising £3k per person with / for them
5.Alternatively, sponsor the team by making a “sponsorship pledge”
Dates for the trek are September 2012, 15-25th. They will be arranging lots of team walks and treks in advance and some fundraising opportunities to help to raising the money.
This is a great opportunity for you, your partner or some of your employees to help them raise £30,000 !!!
All funds raised will support their Junior Youth Club which supports their young members, those aged 8-12, a really critical time for kids, taking them off the streets and engaged in somewhere safe, warm and with adults who care. The Junior Club Youth Worker, Carly Brown will be leading the way and joining the trek herself and all our Junior Club members are right behind her.
To sign up, reserve a place for your company, sponsor the team or for more information in general please get in touch with Karen Edwards, either via
