Fantastic development opportunity for your staff
Do you want your staff to be ??
Why pay for external Leadership Development programmes when all the above can be achieved through employee volunteering with the Club on the National Citizens Service programme? …….
So what is it?
Bolton Lads & Girls Club is piloting the Governments flagship youth development programme, the National Citizen Service over the summer, engaging 270 young people from across Bolton. This is aimed at this year’s school leavers.
All the young people will have the opportunity to take part in a challenging, fast paced, character building three week programme, which takes them as far afield as the Lake District culminating in a Bolton based community action project where they will make a real difference within their local communities.
The 270 young people will be split into 18 groups of 15, with a group leader and 2 volunteers. The programme will be split into 3 phases:
Phase 1:
One week (Mon-Fri) in the Lakes, bonding and forming the group through adventurous activities.
Phase 2:
One week (Mon-Fri) back in Bolton staying in University accommodation. Looking at Bolton as a community and delivering some life skills sessions.
Phase 3:
One week (Mon-Fri) in the local area delivering a Project over the final week putting something back into the community.
If you can answer yes to any of the above questions and can spare one or more of your team for a minimum of 5 days, then we would love to hear from you.
This team building, problem solving, leadership developing programme needs a team of volunteers to support the young people through it. We are looking for some enthusiastic volunteers from within your organisation to assist us in this first ever National Citizen Service programme. There are some fantastic benefits to volunteering on the programme for your employees.
Please let me know if you can help, or contact Rebecca Shivji or Lynne-Marie Betteridge here at the club on 01204 540105.
