Apprentices, adult learners and employers from across the North West had cause for celebration when they attended the 23rd Annual Alliance Learning Awards Evening last week.
The awards ceremony, which aims to recognise and reward the hard work and commitment of learners and the businesses who support them, was held at MBDA UK Ltd in Lostock with over 100 guests in attendance including the newly elected Madam Mayor Councillor Carole Swarbrick and Mayoress Mrs Jaleh Hayes.
MBDA apprentices took to the stage to talk about their first-hand experiences of the Apprenticeship programme. Alliance Learning Chairman, David Gavan, hosted the award ceremony this year and Chief Executive Julie Robinson presented the awards within each of the 13 award categories on the night.
The highlight of the awards evening is the much coveted ‘Apprentice of the Year 2014’ award, which this year was presented to Dayna Crabtree from Whitefield House Residential Home. Speaking about Dayna’s achievements, David said: Dayna is not afraid to make recommendations to the management and directors and continues to make a positive impact on the residents lives.
