Much depends upon the child, their general health and their age, but the majority of children need a great deal of exercise to keep them happy and healthy.
Because children may ‘overdo it’ guided play and supervised exercise is recommended especially for the younger children.
The NHS Guidelines suggest that “children between 5 years and 18 years require at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day – this should range from moderate activity, such as cycling and playground activities, to vigorous activity, such as running and tennis, on three days a week, these activities should involve exercises for strong muscles, such as push-ups, and exercises for strong bones, such as jumping and running”.
Fidgets Soft Play Centre (Bolton), whose motto is: ‘little people, big adventures’ allows parents to indulge their children’s exercise needs in a safe and welcoming environment that is well managed and supervised, and available whatever the weather.
Fidgets Owners and leading lights Liz and Rob McGhie, with their attentive team of staff, provide a safe environment that enables Mums and Dads to keep their busy youngsters in sight whilst they chill out over a nice cuppa.
