Bolton College is once again holding its annual jobs fair this September, and there is a chance for job seekers and local businesses to get involved.
It is expected that over 3,000 people will go the event, so if you have a job vacancy to fill chances are there will be someone attending with the right skill set and experience for it.
Local companies can have a stall at the event free of charge. There are many advantages to it. As there will be lots of other businesses there stall holders can use the event as a networking opportunity. There will be opportunities to meet Bolton’s key decision makers and talk with representatives from other local companies. Confirmed attendees include Barnardos, The National Apprenticeship Service and Bolton Council.
It will run on Thursday 26th September between 10am and 3pm at the Deane Road Campus of Bolton College.
If you are looking for work you can go to workshops, listen to seminars and try out new and existing skills, all in a space sorely dedicated to the event. Some of the trades you’ll be able to try out are hairdressing, building and catering. Bring your CV with you for a chance to have experts cast their knowledgeable eye over it and brush up on interview skills too. The end results from attending the event speak for themselves. Last year 82% of people who attended said it helped them find a job, and 98% of people spoke to a potential employer.
Budding entrepreneurs should go the enterprise zone of the event. If you are thinking of starting your own business or need some start up advice then there will be tons of support and guidance from professionals who have been in the same situation themselves.
