Have you ever heard of a more tasty week then Chocolate Week? That’s right, between the 14th and 20th October it’s time to enjoy chocolate.
Chocolate didn’t arrive in the UK until 1650. However it was quite expensive and it wasn’t until the 18th and 19th century that chocolate became more affordable and took the form we recognise today.
Hernan Cortes, an ambassador for Christopher Colombus, was given some cocoa from an Aztec emperor. He brought it back to Spain with him and the Spanish kept it secret for a 100 years until the British discovered it in 1650.
If you like to enjoy chocolate whilst you’re at work but don’t have time to nip to the shops then let Snack in the Box come to you. You only pay for what you use and there’s no charge for delivery. They provide lovely chocolate, crisps and snacks at the same cost as it is in the shops. Give Darryl at Snack in the Box a ring on 01204 684075 if you want him to work with your business.
My Little Wrapper can provide you with personalised chocolate for any event. They provide the chocolate and then personalise the wrapper with whatever design you want. Contact them on 01204 382785.
Our bestof Bolton restaurants have dessert menus that contain the gooey brown stuff. These are THE Chinese Buffet, Mecca Bingo and G Casino.
The chocolate week website has everything you could possibly want to know about chocolate. I really wish I’d heard about Chocolate Week sooner (although I eat that much of it, I suppose I’m actually celebrating my own private Chocolate Year.) Thankfully it is good for you, well sort of! Just don’t eat too much of it.
Chocolate has endorphins which make you feel happier. Dark chocolate has chemicals in them which can help boost your IQ, it can improve your energy levels and even reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
