Health care in Bolton is about to take a more personalised route with people being invited to shape the services provided.
By April next year, the council must set up Healthwatch in Bolton, and it is looking to the people most affected by it, the public, along with organisations involved in health and wellbeing industries, to help them identify priorities.
Healthwatch aims to provide information to the public about health and social care services, obtain people's views about their health care needs, listen to their experience of care services, and encourage people to become involved in the monitoring and commissioning of the services.
On Thursday July 5th, a consultation event was held at Bolton Town Hall for the public an those working in the aforementioned health and wellbeing services, including the voluntary sector, public sector, and private businesses. The results will be published in due course.
If you'd like to get involved, the survey can be filled in at bolton.gov.uk/Healthwatchsurvey
