Every fortnight we like to introduce you to our members, this week we’re meeting Barbara Gregori of Barbara Gregori Hairdressing and Beauty.
Barbara was first inspired to run and own her own business after experiencing the hairdressing profession at so many different levels. She wanted to see if she could make a success doing it her own way and build something from the grass roots. Her advice to others who are thinking of starting their own business is to believe in yourself, be prepared to work hard and get ready for many ups and downs. She has had many high and low points during her career, including being accused of unfair dismissal and taken to court. However she won the case after representing herself at court and the fact she is a good and fair employer was endorsed at the case.
She really enjoys every aspect of the hairdressing industry as there are so many strands to it and is therefore very diverse. She enjoys the delight of a happy guest, the social aspect and also meeting people from all walks of life. Finally Barbara enjoys passing her knowledge on to young people and seeing them grow and evolve. She loves providing so many employees with a good career and giving them a happy place to work.
Barbara really wants to stand out for their service and quality, which is important because these are fundamental to success and longevity.
