There are lots of places for shopping or entertainment and I can even walk my dog, Tilly, in one of the many parks like Moses Gate, Queens Park or Moss Bank Park.
I do have to say, I particularly love Middlebrook Retail Park. I enjoy visiting here for many reasons, with plenty of shops, entertainment for the family, places to eat and even a football stadium for those who support Bolton Wanderers, what more can anybody want? It also has a monumental statue in the middle of the roundabout, faces of sporting stars from the past and present feature on the 85ft statue. This is a great thing for the people of Bolton, getting them involved and praising those who have, it is an inspiration to all. This statue is called the Spirit of Sport. There are so many shops in Middlebrook, from clothing to electrical, furniture to food. For someone like me who loves shopping this is definitely a positive thing. When you have shopped till you dropped you can then take a break and have a coffee or something to eat at one of the many eateries such as Ask Italian, Pizza Hut or Bella Italia.
If shopping is not your thing, you could visit the cinema and catch one of the latest films or even play Ten Pin Bowling at Hollywood Bowl. I have been to Vue (cinema) many of times, for parties and just trips out at the weekend.
There is also the Bolton Arena which has a large gym, runs many sporting classes for children including tennis and football and also hosts many events throughout the year such as the Comedy Club. I have once been here to Bolton arena and I distinctly remember the time when I went there for the day, I was in the gymnasium and was on the trampolines with my friends and other individuals, I remember falling flat on my face, in front of everybody. When they all turned around I didn't even know what to do. It was so embarrassing. However this obviously did not put me off going in fact I still frequently visit.
With so many things to do in just the one place, plenty of parking for cars or a train station nearby for those that don't drive, there is no need to go anywhere else and you could easily spend a day in Middlebrook, this is why it is my favourite place in Bolton.
