Did you know that the month of May is Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month? The aim of the month is to celebrate the caring and incredible nurses that work so hard for animals and their owners every day of the year.
At Regans Vets, they have an outstanding network of support staff who work with the vets on a daily basis. There is usually a minimum of 3 people working with every vet giving animals the highest standard of care. They provide an invaluable service, offer bereavement counselling, offer advice when you enter the clinic or telephone the surgery, giving personal care to every pet and so many more roles at Regans that it wouldn’t function efficiently without them.
Some of the skills the veterinary nurses at Regans are trained in are dental hygiene, anaesthesia, radiography, counselling, neonatal care and pharmacy, as well as being expected to have knowledge of a vast array of animal species.
