The UK is definitely a nation of animal lovers. Millions of us have pets. You could have the traditional dog and cat, a more exotic animal like a lizard or snakes, a cute and cuddly guinea pig and other furry friends or perhaps something else entirely. Whichever type of animal you keep as a pet. Show your love to them during April, which is National Pet Month.
Charities hold National Pet Month every year, to promote responsible pet ownership, tell the public about the advantages of having a pet and let pet owners know about different pet services in their area.
Events are held around the country, although sadly there is none happening in Bolton at the moment, you can plan and run your own event; visit the National Pet Month website for more details. Any money raised from these events will go towards different animal charities, pet owners and other animal welfare organisations. It’s now in its 25th year, with the theme this year being celebrating your pet.
In America, it’s National Pet Day on the 11th April, so if you have relatives or friends living in the USA, be sure to let them know about the day. Thousands of pets are abandoned in the states every year, so the organisers over there hope to raise money and encourage people to volunteer in the animal sector.
If your pet is feeling unwell, take them to the highly experienced team at Regans Veterinary Centre. They have everything on site to diagnose and treat your pet. Make your appointment by calling 01204 684014.
Or why no give your pet a present of pet food from Turton Vale and really show them how much you love them. Their food is all natural and ethical and your dog and cat will love them. Free delivery to your house is available, so order and try it by calling 01204 684738.
