Urgent News..If you are visiting or planning to visit Smithills Open Farm in the next 3 months, you will need to plan your journey to include an alternative route as the bridge leading up to the farm is closed for urgent repairs.
Work started on the Raveden Clough Bridge on January 5th 2015 and it will continue for approximately 14 weeks, all depending on weather conditions.
The bridge is closed to all motorists and pedestrians and the work carried out will be to strengthen and repair bridge access which will make it safe moving forward.
If you’re travelling up to Smithills Open Farm during these next 3 months, you will need to access an alternative route via Sharples Park and Moss Lea Roads.
