Smithills Open Farm is geared up to welcome folks to the Farm.

Smithills Open Farm have always welcomed families and now they have introduced Family Tickets. The Family Tickets include two adults and two children or one adult with three children and the price for the Family Ticket is just £28.

Group booking at Smithills Open Farm during January and February term time are £7.50 per child with all accompanying adults free. Included in this are: Donkey Rides, Tractor Rides, Animal Feeding, Pets Corner, Milking the Cows, and a tour guide to show your party around so that you gain maximum information and assistance during your visit.

Parents planning half term in February can take advantage of the Family ticket, meanwhile during term times schools and similar groups who wish to take children out for a fun and entertaining day-out can take full advantage of all that is on offer.

Smithills Open Farm has a lot to offer, it is a working farm set within 70 acres of rolling countryside a few miles north of Bolton. Smithills Open Farm is a family run business where nothing stands still. Not even the stick insects. The farm itself is constantly evolving, with new animals coming to stay every week. The Farm provides homes for everything from cows, pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, llamas, owls, eagles, donkeys, ducks and deer. In fact, they have over 25 different types of animals’ in residence. Some are more furry than others, but all are lovely, even their Burmese pythons.

In addition to the animals, there are a lot of other adventurous and fun things to do at Smithills Open Farm. There are bouncy castles, an adventure playground, an inflatable assault course, a sandpit, donkey rides, a tractor tour, a souvenir shop, and a café that sells everything from ice cream to sausage, chips and beans.
