You might think that once you leave school or university you might think it’s too late to start learning again, but you’d be wrong.
Adult Learners Week between the 14th and 20th June is the perfect opportunity for over 18’sto learn a new skill, gain a new qualification or just try something they never have before. Age doesn’t matter when it comes to learning. This is the 23rd year of Adult Learners Week and is always very popular.
At Alliance Learning, they’ll be getting into the spirit of the week at the Horwich carnival on June 15th. They’ll be having a stall where you can pop by and ask them any questions. Plus, at their Leigh centre, they are opening a dedicated room where people can drop in and learn more about Maths, English, IT, traineeships, apprenticeships and employability skills.
Of course, you can contact Alliance Learning throughout the year to start an apprenticeship or enrol on one of their fantastic courses, like engineering, first aid, health and safety and professional development.
At TL Safety, it’s business as usual during Adult Learners Week, which means they are continuing to offer their brilliant courses for businesses and individuals. These include presentation skills, first aid, health and safety and asbestos awareness.
Bolton College and the University of Bolton have hundreds of hundreds of full and part time courses available in many different sectors, like childcare, education, psychology and the care sector.
Finally 3B Training offer training courses in first aid, plant, construction, management and health and safety.
At Bolton Central Library on June 17th, you can go and marvel at work done by local interest groups and meet leaders of local groups, and find out more about how you could get involved in a special interest group.
So there you have it, get learning during Adult Learners Week, you won’t regret it.
