Last month, it was announced that 12 couples, under the tutelage of Sandham's Dance Studio, would be facing off in a dance battle a la Strictly Come Dancing to raise funds for Bolton Hospice. The contestants have been announced, with Business For Breakfast and Copy Print Services represented.
Details of the competition can be found here, in the previous blog located here. Essentially, 12 couples will be learning to dance over 10 weeks with help from Sandham's Dance Studio, with the culmination being a grand finale performance at the Last Drop Village on April 20th.
And, as well as Sandham's Dance Studio providing the dance training, we have two couples in the competition representing thebestof Bolton.
Eric Henshaw and wife Lorraine, company directors of the Business For Breakfast group in Bolton, are relishing the challenge. Already massive supporters of the work done by by the Bolton Hospice, Eric and Lorraine are looking forward to raising further funds and the hospice's profile.
Another husband and wife pairing comes in the form of John and Paula Hynes, company director and company secretary of Copy Print Services. The two are looking forward to helping Bolton Hospice whilst also learning to dance and having some fun along the way.
Meanwhile, retired legal secretary Margaret Colston, at the young age of 77, is still looking for a partner. Which means there is a spot available for a lucky leading man. If you think that could be you, get in touch now with Maria Passarello at maria.passarello@boltonhospice.org or on (01204) 663055.
And all this coincides with the news that the campaign by the Bolton Hospice to raise funds for its Hospice At Home team is just £10,000 short of the target having already amassed a staggering £100,000.
Fundraising events have so far included a skydive, sponsored runs, bake sales, a 12 hour golf marathon, a hospice-inspired birthday party, a sponsored hair cut, and a dressage competition.
