I met Susan Presoctt at the Bolton and Bury Business Awards 2011 where she shared her enthusiam for art. She is currently studying at Bolton College and would really value opions on her pieces showing Bolton
Here is what Susan sent to me
"Painting and art have been important to me all my life, but it is only since retirement that I have had the time to explore my talent. For the last six years, I have attended courses at Bolton College Westhoughton and Deane Campus and I hope to continue to develop my interest further.
I had an accident last year and I am now experiencing a great deal of pain and I find that my interest in art acts as a therapy, thus helping me to control the discomfort.
I have attached one of my paintings (originally painted in acrylic on a stretched a canvas). However, I have used a computer program to alter it into a more contemopary style. It can be usd as a stand alone print or as a poster, or even on a desktop display.
The other is a watercolour painting of a Bolton rooftop scene, created from an old black and white photo of Bolton. Again I have brought it up to date with the computer involvement.
