Bolton's Octagon Theatre has been nominated for receive a prestigious national award following the announcement of the 2010 Theatrical Management Association Awards.
The cast of the production 'The Hired Man' which ran in July and August have been nominated as 'best performance in a musical'. The award will acknowledge all of the cast who appeared on stage during the production including a cast of 16 non professional chorus singers from the area.

“Receiving the nomination for The Hired Man is particularly significant, not only from the point of view of a regional producing theatre, but more importantly because of the recognition that it gives to all of the wonderful community chorus members who took part and gave up their time to be involved in this production.”
