The Purple Property Shop are proud supporters of Bury Hospice (they give 10% of revenues from houses they sell or rent in Bury to the Hospice) and last week went to a charity event in aid of the organisation.
The Purple Property Shop attended The Philanthropists Lunch in aid of Grace’s Place, a new children’s hospice to be opened on the site of the old Bury Hospice. The event took place on Friday 24th October at James Martin’s restaurant in Manchester and was hosted by Sara Cox.
The Purple Property Shop donated a further £250 at this event and one of the delegates they met there is running a social media campaign to promote the cause.
This will be called the “Mini Me Moment” campaign to raise £1million pounds to open Grace’s Place Children’s Hospice. Although they want people to raise lots of money, they want people to have fun with it as well and get as many people involved as possible.
That’s why they are asking people to change your profile picture on your social media accounts to one of you as a child. You can then donate money to the campaign either by texting SHAL01 and your amount to 70070 or visit their just giving page. Then you must nominate at least two more people to do the same and they have 24 hours to donate and change their profile picture. And so it goes on.
The picture Matt Jones, managing director of The Purple Property Shop, has chosen for the campaign is one of him enjoying some free time with his sister Alison and cousins Mark and Sarah. Matt is the child on the right in a Superman t shirt and Wizard of Oz socks trying to strangle his cousin Sarah.
It really is fantastic that The Purple Property Shop are getting involved in this. Let’s hope the charity raises a lot of money.
