Friday 18th May sees the very welcome return of the Young’uns to The Barlow,
Bolton Road, Edgworth.
With bags of charm, talent and an abiding enthusiasm for traditional song the
Young’uns are currently making a big impact on the folk scene appearing at
festivals and clubs throughout the UK and Europe. Their natural rapport,
originality and irreverent sense of humour make them an ideal choice for any
venue. Sean Cooney, David Eagle and Michael Hughes all hail from Teesside
which features strongly in Sean’s excellent song writing. Though only in his mid
20’s Sean crafts powerful songs based on the area which have a timeless
quality that many an older songwriter would envy.
Recently signed by Navigator Records the Young’uns will be releasing their first
album later this year.
The performance starts at 8.00pm and tickets which cost £8 each (students £4)
can be purchased on the door or in advance by calling Elaine on 01204
852217.
