Westhoughton is to enjoy a new Monthly farmers market starting on May 7th. The market is part of plans to boost shopping in the town.
The market will be the only large farmers market in the borough outside of Bolton Town Centre.
There has been lots of effort local traders including by Suzi Verhaege of Sugardoodle Bakery, campaigning to spruce up Westhoughton Market and raise awareness trhough an active facebook campaign. You can follow Westhoughton Market on facebook here. Suzi's stall is well worth the visit as she makes amazing cupcakes which look almost too good to eat!.
Westhoughton Market is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8.30am-5pm with the first farmers market taking place on Saturday May 7th and the 1st Saturday in the month thereafter
