Did you know that it is Universal Children’s Day on November 20th?
It is a day organised by the United Nations and aims to promote the rights of children around the world. We were all children once, and so since 1954 the United Nations have organised this day. An ambition of theirs is for every child in the world to access primary education by 2015, so let’s hope they reach that goal.
It is a global event, with different countries getting involved in different ways, like sponsorship a child to go to school or launching a 24 hour news station for children.
Of course you can make sure your children have an excellent time in Bolton by using our members.
We have 4 brilliant nurseries on board, Super Stars Nursery, Gigglers Nursery, Queensbrook Day Nursery and Beechwood Nursery School. All care for babies up to primary school age children, and as they are located in different areas of Bolton, you will find one close to your work or home.
Perhaps you’d like to support children with their schoolwork? We have two fantastic tutors on board, Star Turn Tuition and Kip McGrath. Kip McGrath specialise in English and Maths, whilst Star Turn Tuition run language lessons and entrance exam preparation.
Not every child in the world has access to such nice clothes as those at Kids Fashion Mart. They sell formal and informal clothing from top designers.
Home Start Bolton works directly with families to give them guidance and support on a one to one basis. They give advice on financial matters and practical and emotional issues.
Birtenshaw offers a range of education, health and care services for children aged 3-19 with moderate to severe special needs.
Finally, to give the kids some fun, take them to Smithills Open Farm or Fidgets Indoor Play Centre. At Smithills they can meet all the farm animals, whereas at Fidgets it’s a chance to let them run riot in safe surroundings.
Whatever you’re doing for Universal Children’s Day do let us know.
