The Beacon Bolton Counselling Service is a well-established counselling service available to anyone. Although originating from a Christian background, they don't have an alliance to any particular church or religious organisation. Beacon is a registered charity and whilst their main office is at The Bolton Hub, Bold Street, Bolton, most of the counselling is provided from the 'Homes for You' building in Silver well Lane, Bolton. Clients can either refer themselves or be referred by friends and family, local employers, Victim Support, the local health authority, GPs, local colleges of further education, etc. Their volunteer counsellors may see clients on a variety of weekday / evenings and Saturday mornings, subject to availability. Sessions are one-to-one and last for 50 minutes. Beacon is highly regarded and considered within the North-Western counselling network as a prestigious organisation. They are totally professionals
