The Deane & Derby community centre provides the very important first step learning opportunities, together with excellent progression routes for further learning and training, in a user-friendly environment.
Their open invitation extends to adults taking initial steps back into education. Highly accessible tasters and short introductory courses are delivered in community venues instead of the classroom because the learners feel more comfortable in the community centre venues.
Also, their courses cover a range of subjects and are designed to encourage learners to progress onto higher levels as their confidence and skills develop.
All their courses are delivered by friendly and supportive tutors, many of whom have taken a non-traditional route back into learning.
