The Dog Warden Service comprises of two members of staff, a Dog Control Officer and a Dog Warden. They deal with complaints from members of the public about dog related matters.
The service aims to deal with all complaints promptly and professionally.
Any persons wishing to report dog-related offences will be treated with confidentiality. The service also aims to promote responsible dog ownership by educating the public, and taking legal action where necessary.
The outline of their work involves removing and securing stray dogs, dog fouling patrols and erection of 'No Dog Fouling' signage. They also deal with dangerous dogs.

They educate dog owners to be responsible via all schools in the area; giving presentations/lectures to adult and community groups; informing the public about ongoing campaigns and new legislation.
