On Saturday 26 October from 10am, visitors to the charity’s shops and services on Fletcher Street in Bolton can be among the first to visit this brand-new Christmas-themed shop, which offers a wide selection of festive decorations for homes, rooms, and trees, as well as stocking-fillers like DVDs, music, and books.
There are plenty of surprises planned for the pop-up store, as the charity’s recycling volunteers put the finishing touches on specially made gift sets made from preloved treasures and hand-picked fabric, all made using Emmaus Bolton’s second-hand sewing machines.
Tony Stephenson, Chief Executive of Emmaus Bolton, said: “Come on down to the grand opening of our Christmas Emporium for a browse and a brew at our charity café.
“You’ll be able to get the first pick of our top holiday decorations, dinner sets, tables and chairs, and handmade gift sets for prices we’re keeping as low as possible to help us all during the festive season.
“By coming along, you will be giving these items a new lease of life while supporting a good cause.”
Sales from the Christmas store will help support the charity’s home for up to 22 people with experience of homelessness and Emmaus Bolton’s food pantry, which serves more than 400 families in need.
Visitors can also browse the other Emmaus charity shops including a preloved book shop, bric-a-brac boutiques, preloved toys and games, vintage clothing and a range of music and DVDs as well as second-hand and some new furniture.
The charity’s art and craft store, stocked with recycled supplies, will be brimming with festive ideas and accessories for gift wrapping, while the on-site café will offer hot drinks, light bites, and sweet treats for visitors to enjoy.
