Nestled amidst the picturesque West Pennine Moors, Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel offers an enchanting escape for travellers seeking an authentic blend of comfort and style.
We stay at this hotel twice a year when visiting family, and it has always been a comfortable and welcoming place. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, with Lydia and Irene standing out in particular. They even remembered us from our last visit and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
The hotel is dog-friendly, which is a big plus for us. Although the decor is a little dated and some areas feel a bit worn, this is reflected in the cost, which is very reasonable. It’s always clean and well-maintained, so we really can’t complain. The breakfast is consistently good and the room service is fantastic.
Even during holiday periods, the rates remain affordable. And the views across Bolton are a nice bonus. Thank you!

Looked a lovely cafe. Unfortunately service was quite slow and a few things we wanted were out of stock. We ordered and paid only to be told 30miniutes after that the avocado for the bagel I ordered was all gone, did I want the bagel without it.
I asked to change my order to smoked salmon and cream cheese- what I got was smoked salmon, halloumi and chilli jam - not good
