First time visit - really good experience. Parking immediately adjacent, reasonably priced food in the cafe before, good sized bar, friendly staff. Will visit again. The show I watched was 'brief encounter' which so well done, and made the most the stage format.

Working for a local charity, Age UK Bolton, I booked the use of one of The Octagon's bar areas for a meeting / presentation for up to 35 people.
From the initial enquiry through to the actual day of the event, the staff at The Octagon were extremely helpful and accommodating. We required equipment to display the presentation on, as well as catering for the event as it was taking place over lunchtime into the early afternoon. Nothing was too much trouble for the venue.
I was very pleased with the end result, as were those who attended, and have added the venue to my list of locally available meeting venues for future use.

Great restaurant and bar staff - rooms are standard need a facelift, once had beautiful grounds, now has a housing estate there... Mixed reviews as this was our go to place pre covid.
The offers they have on, are good value for money, the food is really nice also.

Excellent service from start to finish. Easy to check in on line and easy to check out at the end of our stay. Enjoyed using the spa and indoor pool. The room was clean and the heaters worked well as the evenings are just beginning to get cooler. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Leisure area is excellent. Spent a lot of time in the steam, sauna, pool
Although no gowns or slippers in the room they need to be pre ordered & paid for.
Rooms old fashioned, dirty wall paper, carpets look dirty & old fashioned.
Beds where comfortable.
Menu has lack of choice
Evening meal was poor /awful - order from Uber eats if staying over

Totally recommended. Always a great time here. Hotel, spa, restaurant, bar and ambience are always fantastic. Very friendly, helpful but busy staff. Great sleep in a very quiet part of the hotel. See you again soon.

Great place, second time visiting and didn’t disappoint. Lovely room with everything you needed. Such good value for money. Gorgeous food in restaurant and plenty too choose at breakfast. Fab Spa facilities and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return x

First trip here & not disappointed.
Leanne was my beautician carrying out my 85 minute treatment and I was so impressed by her skill & knowledge. Explained products to help my skin routine too!
Pool & sauna area were clean and well maintained.
The room was a twin with comfortable beds and a powerful shower.
Dinner two courses, I had the chicken which I enjoyed. Good atmosphere in the dining/bar areas.
All staff friendly from reception, breakfast team & housekeeping.
Will be back in 2023 & will request Leanne, so hope to get some more beauty tips!
