Fancied something a bit different for Christmas this year, so thought I'd have a spa break. I've stayed at the Last Drop twice before and loved it.

Can't say what the treatments are like, I just go for the pool, saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzi and of course the outdoor heated infinity pool! As it's available to the public, there's a changing room with showers and lockers (you'll need a £1 coin), and you're given a towel on the way in. There are tables and chairs and a couple of loungers around the pool. Through the door into the spa area is for over 16s only and has another 10 or so loungers.

I've stayed in both the main hotel and the courtyard brooms, and really liked both. The main hotel room was very traditional, right down to the creaky floorboards (sorry, people downstairs!) and the courtyard rooms are a more modern style. The room this time was spacious with a really comfy double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, wall-mounted TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was clean, with a fabulous waterfall shower.

The hotel staff were brilliant, everyone worked really hard to make sure guests could just relax, which was much appreciated.

I'll definitely be back!

Stayed here with the wife yet again as it really is our getaway from the rat race. Booked a night and at the last minute we had to cancel due to a poorly baby we were truly gutted however when we let the hotel know they were great and let us move our stay to a different night. The rearranged stay was outstanding as always great room with excellent customer service by all staff members. The food was delightful and the spa great to recharge our batteries. We gave recommended the last drop to family and friends who all have started to use the hotel and lobe it.

We stayed in 3 executive rooms for our family celeration and they were first class. The staff were friendly, without exception, and everything in terms of arrangements for 10 people, was perfect. We had a private room for dinner as we had 3 young children and this was a perfect arrangement suggested by Liam who made our reservation. The service at both dinner and breakfast was spot on and the pool area and sauna were just ideal. If there was one drawback it was that the tea shop , which we used for lunch . They served sandwiches which were not as exciting as the rest of the food at the hotel and were overpriced compared with the otherwise excellent value of this hotel

Had an amazing time here over the weekend so relaxing all the staff, food nd drinks were great. Sent a few hours chilling in the spa and HD a fab 3 course meal in the hotel. Daniel the manager and Alice Julie and Chloe the waitresses were always attentive and smiling. Julie at the courtyard bar was on her own for a while but attended u up everyone efficently.
We stayed in the secret garden area and it was so peaceful.
Also lovely little shop at the back to visit and a pub.
Would highly recommend and will be returning soon.

Came here with my husband for a spa day and afternoon tea. The spa was amazing. The hydrotherapy pool was so relaxing. The treatments were on time and my therapist was good. I had a back and foot massage, both of which were lovely. After the treatments we had afternoon tea in the courtyard. This was a bit disorganised. We waited over 30 mins for the afternoon tea despite already preordering. We also only got our tea after another 15 minutes. However when the afternoon tea came it was delicious.

Would definitely recommend and return for another spa day in the future.

I have been staying at this hotel when travelling to the North for nearly 20 years. It is just out of Bolton so not in a particularly beautiful location for views or wandering around but the hotel itself is a warm welcoming environment with personality and good facilities like a pool to blow away the cobwebs after a long day driving, it is also a great location for visiting anywhere in the North West and serves a nice cooked breakfast! What’s not to like?

We had booked to go th Whitney unfortunately we had to cancel due to ill health (person we were visiting)

So my wife decided to go to the
Last Drop Village and Spa

As we booked so late we got a fantastic deal
We arrived on Tuesday the weather was iffy to say the least. So consequently we arrived early (book in time-wasting 14:00)
So we had a sandwich in the bar
My wife had Ham and I had Beef all was
Plus coffee's
It was excellent

We went into the Spa (I have never been before) It was fantastic large indoor swimming pool, four saunas, one steam room and the HOT TUB looking out no windows and it's snowing

The evening meal was excellent

Soup and Pate
Salmon and Beef
I had to mention the Beef and Gravy separately they were both amazingly good

Breakfast was excellent

Our room was huge two easy chairs and one at the dressing table. Large fitted wardrobe lovely sized bathroom with bath and shower

A great couple of days this looks like it's going to be a regular January lift. The snow was an added bonus

Great service from everyone nothing to much trouble
All the food was excellent

A great big thank you

Dickie :-)

The hotel was easier to find than I remember as a child! It is a popular wedding venue so expect loud music into the wee hours on a Saturday night! Staff at breakfast were very friendly and chatty, as you would expect from lovely northern folk.

Nice place to stay with very friendly helpful staff. Gets noisy at weekends with all the weddings so you are better to choose a mid-week stay. Also the breakfast is freshly prepared mid-week but buffet-style at weekends.
Some very handy maps of local walks are available in the reception and these were very useful.
We stayed three nights and were disappointed that our room was not cleaned during that period. We were told on check-out that is the hotel policy and related to covid, but guests can request a clean. It would have been nice to have known this.
But overall pleased with our stay.
