On arrival checking in was friendly and efficient, our room was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. They provided excellent service both at evening meal and breakfast. Checking out was equally efficient. Staff were professional and friendly.

Was more expensive than expected, the bathroom is quite small, one person at a time. The shower lacks the pressure you would expect. Rooms are reasonably well appointed, however chair was stained, heating difficult to control and noisey outside if you open the window.
Staff were nice but:
1. Long wait to check in
2. Got to the room on 4th floor and the key didn't work
3. Once I got into the room I was getting ready to go out and a random guy walked in. Seems he was given the same room.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Catered for vegan daughter and my partner who has to have gluten free diet. Enjoyed the power shower! Thanks for the great choice of breakfast as well.

Hotel was like a ghost town to the point staff didn't believe someone (me) was stood at the bar waiting till they saw me. Really nice looking hotel rooms are spacious and clean staff are down to earth only 2 little niggles is there wasn't breakfast included and all the pillows in the room felt like they was made of wood

Nicely located, arrived after check in hours and was dealt with quickly without any issues.
Easy to navigate to rooms.
One thing to note. The car park isn't great for parking. If you're not a confident driver, avoid the car park and find somewhere else.
However, that being said, it's sheltered and seems like a safe place to park.

This was booked at the last minute for a business trip.. It wasn't what I was expecting. I did not think a Holiday Inn would be good, but I was pleasantly surprised! The room was a family room with a large king bed and an L shaped sofa. The room was clean, as was the bathroom and the hotel in general. One thing that was disappointing is that they couldn't provide a full service for certain things at night, such as making up the sofa bed? I wasn't so happy about that.
The highlight of the entire stay was the Dipak, the Maitre de of the restaurant area. He is literally one of the nicest, most hospitable individuals I have ever come across in the service industry. I've stayed in hotels that assign you personal butlers during your stay, and seriously, he would rival them with his hospitality. He went literally above and beyond. I watched him as I thought perhaps he was only being like that with us. But my God, no! He treats everyone with the same courtesy. I was genuinely taken aback by how hospitable he was. He really deserves a raise. We tried to find him to tip him, but when we asked at the reception, he had gone somewhere. Holiday Inn, you're lucky to have him.

We needed a hotel last minute due to car problems. Annie could not have been more helpful and considerate of our predicament. Excellent customer service and hospitality. In addition the rooms were perfect and the breakfast of a high standard.

Work site visit in Bolton, first time to the city / town…. Hotel was easy to find, car parking on site two options one underground (pretty tight spaces) one above the entrance.
Room was a refurbished room, bathroom clean but remarkably small as in you had no chance of your bigger than a 36”waste between the door and vanity unit!!!
Shower was hot and strong, the bed was comfortable and all clean so overall ok.
The not so great bits and hence a three not a four star,
Bar area, cold most drinks not available and the only draft larger is Stella (not for me) ordered a cider with ice, then to be told no ice….. really??
Restaurant, it’s a big open area, be mindful of you sit near the windows it’s cold, or it was when I stayed on the 20th April, the food was mediocre, almost too cooked but given it’s a limited menu, it’s what you get, chicken wings where tasty, not convinced on the spicy sauce that was added, fish and chips for the main, fish had clearly drowned in the fat / fryer it was cooked in….😣
If it’s a cheap hotel in Bolton your looking for then give it a try, if you want to try and show off to someone, try elsewhere….

Our second stay here and just wanted to shout out Tony at the bar who is an absolute star! Genuine service and such a pleasant person to chat to. Absolutely would come here just for drinks to enjoy the atmosphere he creates :)
